Documented in Russian use from February 2022 — including in the Kyiv and Kharkiv axes — and continuously since; open-source trackers record T-80 losses in excess of a thousand by the end of 2024, and captured T-80BVM in Ukrainian hands. Russian ministry announcements of T-80BVM deliveries continued through 2025–2026; specialist analysis disputes whether Omsk builds new hulls at all.
