- Istotna historia
- Formed on 30 June 1992 as the 1st Riga district brigade in the National Guard’s first year, it passed through the 2003 district structure and was re-established as the 1st Riga Brigade on 3 January 2018 when the National Guard returned to four regional brigades. It is the brigade whose region holds the capital, the government and the largest concentration of national security objects.
