In July 2026 Syria's interior ministry said it had seized missiles, anti-tank weapons and drones bound for Hezbollah at the Iraqi border, which Hezbollah denies. In October 2026 Reuters, citing anonymous sources, reported $200m from Iran for the displaced, which the US State Department disputes. Against this, the Lebanese state has undertaken, in the June 2026 Framework, to prevent reconstruction funds reaching non-state armed groups.
