- The Central Headquarters is the operational layer of Iran's command architecture: where the General Staff plans and coordinates in peacetime, the Central Headquarters is mandated to command joint operations across the Artesh, the Guard and the Law Enforcement Command in war. Compiled accounts describe its activation for the June 2025 war and the killing of its commander in the opening Israeli strike, followed within days by the killing of his successor. Whether it exercised real command over the Guard's missile operations in either war, or whether those ran on the Aerospace Force's own pre-delegated authority, is not established — and the continued firing after each decapitation is evidence that the answer may be the latter. It must not be confused with the air-defence headquarters or the construction headquarters that share its name.
