- The Army publishes the brigade among its eight brigade-level units with a two-part task: training conscripts into defenders of the homeland, and preparing voluntary reservists to serve as peacekeepers abroad. It gives no founding date, though its page marks the Jaeger movement’s anniversary as its own heritage. Niinisalo is also where the Army’s mechanised exercises with allies are reported, which places the brigade on the interoperability side of accession rather than on the border.
