- The Navy’s published structure is a single Navy Command with a national maritime operations centre and four squadrons at two bases, a shape built for a small navy with two very different seas to serve. The structural story of this module is that the straits it holds became the Baltic’s only exits from an allied sea once Finland and Sweden acceded, and that the 2024–2033 agreement, published in Danish, is rebuilding the anti-submarine capability the Baltic approaches and the Greenland– Iceland gap both require.
