W skrócie
The tactical-level command of the Czech air force. The ministry states its principal task as securing the integrity of Czech airspace within NATO’s integrated air defence system, and names six components: three air bases, an air-defence missile regiment, an air command, control and surveillance regiment and an airport authority. - One of the six major commands on the ministry’s structure page. Its own page lists the tasks in order: airspace integrity within NATINAMDS first, then close air support to ground forces, official transport for the government, transport of troops and materiel, search and rescue, and missions the government authorises. Its published components are a tactical air base, a helicopter base, a transport base, an air-defence missile regiment, a command-and-control and surveillance regiment and an airport authority; the special forces directorate’s page adds that the air force provides a special operations air task unit.
