- One of the Artesh's four armoured divisions and the one with the longest war record: the 92nd fought the opening battles of the Iran–Iraq war around Khorramshahr and Ahvaz and remained the armoured core of the southern front for eight years. Its province is the one that holds Iran's onshore oil fields, the refineries at Abadan and the head-of-Gulf coast, which is why it is the Artesh ground formation most relevant to this module. Iranian media reported United States strikes at Ahvaz on 1–2 September 2026, carried here as an Iranian report and not as a claim about this division.
