نبذة
The navy — the smallest service, commanded from the Marinekommando at Rostock, with two Einsatzflottillen, a naval-aviation command and a support command published beneath it. Since 1 October 2024 it has provided Commander Task Force Baltic, a national headquarters with multinational participation that plans maritime exercises and operations and leads NATO-assigned naval forces in the Baltic.

- المنطقة العامة للنشاط
- The Baltic and North Sea from the Marinekommando at Rostock, and worldwide deployments the service describes as protecting sea lanes, citizens and crisis management; nothing about ship positions is authored.
- تاريخ بارز
- The navy's structure is published in outline: the Marinekommando at Rostock as headquarters, two operational flotillas, a naval-aviation command and a support command. The change that matters here came on 1 October 2024, when the German Navy took on Commander Task Force Baltic — a headquarters at the Rostock naval command with multinational participation, whose two published tasks are to plan maritime exercises and operations and to lead naval forces assigned by NATO in peace, crisis and war, while maintaining a joint maritime situational picture around the clock. The announcement states that a rotation is planned after four years at the latest, so the German tenure is a term, not a permanent alliance seat.
- نقاط القوة
- A standing regional headquarters for the alliance in the sea the module is about, seated in the navy's own command, and a service whose home waters are the theatre rather than a distant deployment.
- مواطن القصور
- The smallest of the four services, with the flotilla and aviation commands published as names only. CTF Baltic is a national headquarters taking alliance tasks, not a NATO body, and its command relationships are not stated in the pages fetched. Nothing about fleet size or disposition is authored.
