جيش الجيب الخاص — شُكّل من فيلق الجيش 5 في ديسمبر 2013 جيشًا منفصلًا للأسلحة المشتركة لأن الأراضي الأرمينية تفصل ناخيتشيفان عن بقية أذربيجان، وهو القوة التي تتدرب مع وحدات تركية عبر الحدود القصيرة للجيب مع تركيا، والحامية القائمة على الجانب الآخر من مسألة العبور.

المنطقة العامة للنشاط: The Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic — bordered by Armenia, Iran and, for a few kilometres, Türkiye
تاريخ بارز: Nakhchivan has no land connection to the rest of Azerbaijan, which is why its garrison was made an army: the 5th Army Corps was reorganised as a separate combined-arms army by presidential decree on 18 December 2013, with its own command able to fight without reinforcement from the mainland. Its border with Armenia is the northern frontier of Vayots Dzor and the western frontier of Syunik, and the exclave's short border with Türkiye — the only one Azerbaijan has — is the ground on which Turkish and Azerbaijani forces have exercised together under the Shusha Declaration. The transit route between Nakhchivan and the mainland through Armenian territory, the subject of the 2025 Washington framework and its 2026 implementation, would end the isolation that this formation exists to answer.
