- The regiment’s page traces its lineage to an anti-aircraft artillery regiment formed on 15 November 1959 and to the 1973 merger of two regiments, and dates the present formation to 1 December 2018, created under the Air Force Staff to receive the Patriot system. It received its battle standard on 20 July 2021; the page records progressive delivery and integration from 2020 and the service’s first Patriot live firing in November 2023, which it calls a first for the Romanian Air Force.
