Коротко
The Romanian Air Force’s component command, subordinate to the Air Force Staff on its own page, which plans and conducts air operations under national, NATO or EU command and coordinates air support to civil emergencies and counter-terrorism. It is the national body through which Romanian air activity meets allied air command; its page records that on accession its reporting and control centre passed air surveillance and air policing to NATO command by transfer of authority to SACEUR, and no relationship beyond that is asserted here.

- Широкий район діяльності
- Romanian airspace and the air component of joint operations under national or allied command, in the command’s own description.
- Примітна історія
- The command’s page traces it to the main air-defence command post formed in January 1979, merged in 1993 with the aviation command post, renamed a main air-operations command in 2000, and on accession in 2004 integrated into NATO’s air-defence system, when its reporting and control centre took on surveillance and air policing under allied command. It was reorganised into an air operations component and a tactical air operations centre in 2008, established as a division-level air operations component in 2015, received its battle flag and honorific in 2018, and took its present name on 1 December 2021.
- Сильні сторони
- A published, dated interface between a national air force and the alliance: the command states in its own words that surveillance and air policing pass to NATO command through SACEUR, which is the mechanism by which the Black Sea flank’s air picture becomes an allied one. Its remit spans national, NATO and EU operations and civil support, so it is the single Romanian air body an allied air commander deals with.
- Обмеження
- The page names no aircraft, base or unit beneath the command; its subordinate centres are functions, not authored formations. The relationship to NATO’s air command is carried in prose at the page’s wording and not as an edge, because the module records a transfer of authority only when a source names the doctrinal authority transferred, and this page names the function instead.
