Коротко
The small allied headquarters established from 2015 under the 2014 Readiness Action Plan to coordinate the reception and integration of allied forces in a host state, support collective-defence planning and assist with exercises. The Slovak defence ministry, which hosts one, states they are part of the NATO Force Structure and not a military base. How many exist in 2026, and where, is not publicly enumerated.

- Decided at the 2014 Wales summit as part of the Readiness Action Plan, with the first units active from 2015 — Estonia's celebrates 15 June 2015 as its founding date and Slovakia's was activated in September 2016, reaching full capability in July 2017. Their original purpose, as Slovakia states it, was to help a host prepare for the reception, staging and onward movement of high-readiness forces; hosts now describe a broader remit of readiness assessment, exercise coordination and liaison between the host's forces and all allied forces present.

- They are the alliance's permanent presence at the point where reinforcement actually happens — the host's ports, roads and exercise areas — and they are staffed by the host together with allies: Estonia lists seven contributing nations in a platoon-sized unit, Slovakia seven. A standing unit whose whole job is receiving allied forces is the lowest-level institutional evidence that reinforcement is planned rather than improvised.
