- Широкий район діяльності
- Izmir, Türkiye. NATO describes it as the tactical-level single-service command for land, alongside the maritime command at Northwood and the air command at Ramstein; no area of responsibility is published.
- Примітна історія
- NATO's structure page lists the command as one of three single-service commands at the tactical level of the command structure, the outcome of the post-2002 consolidation that reduced the alliance's headquarters from thirty-two to nine and the later adaptations. It was established at Izmir in December 2012 on the site of the former air command there, according to secondary reporting; the command's own history page could not be read. In February 2026 the North Atlantic Council agreed that the United States would keep the leadership of this command while European allies took over two joint force commands.
- Сильні сторони
- It is the alliance's standing land headquarters and, in NATO's words, its principal land adviser: the one permanent body whose subject is the land domain across the whole of SACEUR's area rather than one region of it. The two Romanian-hosted headquarters in this module place it on their own published charts between the southern joint force command and themselves, which is the clearest public evidence of how the land command sits above the NATO Force Structure corps.
- Обмеження
- A component command commands no national formation in peacetime. The corps and divisions that anchor this module are NATO Force Structure headquarters — nationally manned and affiliated to NATO — and the only relationships NATO publishes between them and the battlegroups are the verbs "covers", "works closely with" and "cooperates closely with". Nothing on this record converts any of that into command, and the command's own site, which might say more, is closed to tools.
