Stan na 2026-09Germany's part in the theatre is the module's clearest case of a contribution that is institutional before it is a formation. NATO's page establishes the brigade in Lithuania, inaugurated in May 2025 and the only presence NATO describes as a permanent base; the Bundeswehr's own programme figure for it is up to 5,000 troops by 2027, and that figure is carried with that provenance and as a target rather than a strength. NATO establishes the enabling command at Ulm, Allied Air Command at Ramstein and the combined air operations centre at Uedem, all seated in Germany, and the February 2026 redistribution under which Germany and Poland share the lead of Joint Force Command Brunssum on rotation. 1 (German/Netherlands) Corps at Münster assumed responsibility for Estonia and Latvia on 30 June 2026 by its own statement. In the economy layer, the one commissioned ammunition plant in the module — Unterlüß, opened August 2025 — is German, and its output figures are company targets. In the hybrid layer, a Stuttgart court's August 2026 verdict convicting one and acquitting two in a parcel-sabotage case is the module's most recent judgment. The United States' March 2026 testimony names Germany among its model allies for accelerating investment in its defence industrial base. The German order of battle beyond the Force Atlas's published level is not this module's subject.
