Warum es wichtig ist
The forward presence is the most visible thing NATO does on its eastern flank, and it is routinely described as though the alliance had stationed its own troops somewhere. It has not: each formation belongs to a framework nation that chose to lead it and can stop, and sits on the territory of a host that agreed to receive it.
