ضربت روسيا مقاطعة كييف ومناطق أخرى في الليلة السابقة لـ5 أغسطس 2026 بـ115 مسيّرة من طرازات شاهد و Gerbera و Italmas وغيرها، و24 صواريخ باليستية، وأربعة صواريخ وصفها سلاح الجو الأوكراني بالفئة المدمجة «Zircon/Oniks». وأفاد سلاح الجو بتدمير 98 مسيّرة أو التشويش عليها — نحو 85 في المئة — ولم يُبلغ عن اعتراض أيٍّ من الصواريخ. وسُجّلت إصابات بالصواريخ و17 مسيّرة في 26 موقعًا. وأُطلقت الصواريخ من مقاطعات كورسك وروستوف وبريانسك، والمسيّرات من كورسك و Millerovo و Oryol ودونيتسك المحتلة والقرم. وأفادت دائرة الطوارئ الحكومية في البداية بمقتل 14 وإصابة 22؛ ورفعت تقارير لاحقة الحصيلة مع استمرار أعمال الإنقاذ.

One night showing two defensive lanes behaving completely differently. The drone lane held at roughly 85 per cent; the ballistic lane reported nothing intercepted at all.
