- Swedish airspace, which the armed forces state is protected from violations around the clock, all year. The service’s units are described as focused on national and international tasks and as prepared for operations outside Sweden’s borders.

- The Air Force entered the alliance on 7 March 2024 as the last non-allied air force on the Baltic, and the structural consequence was immediate in a way the service’s own page does not describe: Swedish airspace joined the alliance’s integrated air and missile defence, and the Nordic air forces began to present themselves as one operating community with a combined air operations centre at Bodø, a development recorded on the Norwegian and NATO records in this module.
