نبذة
The operational-level command of the Polish Armed Forces. The ministry describes it as the main body responsible for operational command of the forces assigned to it by decision of the Minister, including contingents abroad, the protection of the air and maritime borders and the planning of the state’s air-defence system; since 2018 its commander answers to the Chief of the General Staff. What it holds at any moment is assigned, not standing, and is not recorded.

- Forces placed under it by the Minister’s decision, at home and in operations abroad; the ministry names the air and maritime borders and the national air-defence system among its standing concerns.

- The command is one of the three bodies the 2014 consolidation produced, beside the General Staff and the General Command of the branches. The ministry’s 2018 reform pages placed its commander under the Chief of the General Staff from 23 December 2018, and the ministry’s 2018 planning statement described a later intention to transform it into a joint command at the operational level; no gov.pl page read here publishes that transformation as enacted.

- It is the Polish body through which forces are committed: the ministry lists planning and command of joint, peacekeeping, rescue and humanitarian operations, command of contingents abroad, supervision of special operations and standby forces, air and maritime border protection through dedicated operations centres, and support to civil administration in non-military crises. Its three published branches — operational, planning and support — are the whole of its published internal structure.

- A command of assigned rather than organic forces: the ministry says the units it commands are those handed to it, which is why no service or formation is filed beneath it here. The gov.pl page gives no formation date, no seat and no subordinate body, and the portal’s own page was unreadable to this pass, so the record is the ministry’s task list and the 2018 subordination and nothing more.
