What this organisation is
Hyundai Rotem is the South Korean manufacturer of the K2 Black Panther, the tank Poland chose in 2022 when European production could not deliver at the speed Warsaw wanted. Its record on the flank has three different kinds of claim, kept apart here: a delivered first batch — 180 K2GF tanks from December 2022, completed in 2025; a contracted second batch — 180 more, signed on 1 August 2025, of which 64 are to be built to the Polish K2PL standard in Poland; and an April 2026 agreement on domestic production. The second is a contract and the third an agreement, and neither is a delivery.
The supplier whose delivery speed is the module's reference case for non-European rearmament: the armour-recapitalisation reading turns on the difference between a line that delivered within months of signature and the Polish line that has yet to deliver.
