فنلندا والسويد تتقدمان بطلب العضوية، وتوقيع بروتوكولي الانضمام

يسلّم سفيرا فنلندا والسويد طلبَي عضوية بلديهما إلى الأمين العام في 18 مايو 2022. وتُختتم محادثات الانضمام في 4 يوليو ويوقّع الحلفاء بروتوكولي الانضمام في 5 يوليو، ما يمنح الدولتين صفة الدولة المدعوة ريثما تتم المصادقة الوطنية.

The applications are the largest single change to the geography of this module since 2004, and the twenty-one months between them and Sweden's accession are the period in which the Nordic and Baltic theatres were still institutionally separate. The module's northern arena is built on what this decision started.
